Tassat took over the swap execution facility (SEF) registration from trueEX, effective on November 6, 2019.[1] TrueEX is an interest rate swap platform.
Tassat was previously known as trueDigital.
Tassat said that it plans to use its SEF license to trade bitcoin swaps.[2]
Tassat received a no-action letter in September 2020 that allowed it to operate the SEF while it renewed its SEF registration which the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission had determined was dormant as of August 1, 2020.[3] As of February 22, 2021, it had not begun operations.
