Foundry is a bitcoin mining and mining consulting firm in Rochester, New York.

Foundry was established by the Digital Currency Group (DCG) as a fully owned subsidiary in 2019 according to the August 27, 2020 press release announcing its formation. DCG said that it would invest $100 million in the company through the end of 2021. At the time of the announcement, Foundry already offered "equipment financing and procurement; mining and staking; and consulting and advisory services." [1]

Foundry's business propositions, according to Fortune magazine, are that use of more highly efficient mining equipment along with business transparency will help the company compete. The company has mining operations in Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, British Columbia, and Quebec as well as in New York state.[2]
