In apparent contravention of the Multi-Agency Task Force on Internet Finance of China's 45-day old prohibition on cryptocurrency exchanges, ZB.com launched trading in crytpocurrencies on November 1, 2017. On November 8, 2017 it began to accept credit card-based deposits of Chinese yuan for accounts on the platform.[1]

ZB.com has issued its own cryptocurrency, the ZB Token, for use on its platform alongside a number of U.S. dollar stablecoins including [Tether]. ZB.com offers 94 cryptocurrency pairs for trading. According to CoinMarketCap, at the end of October 2018 ZB.com was the sixth largest cryptocurrency exchange ranked by the U.S. dollar value of its volume traded daily.[2]

According to research by CryptoCompare, an online data analysis firm, ZB.com was the most active cryptocurrency exchange in the world during January 2019.[3]
