Skew is a cryptocurrency data and trade execution platform for trading bitcoin and Ether derivatives products.[1]

Skew was founded in 2018 by Emmanuel Goh, Daniel Cullender, and Tim Noat.[2]

In 2019, Skew raised $2 million via a seed round of fundraising for its data platform skewAnalytics, which was led by Firstminute Capital. Other participants in the round include Seedcamp, Kima Ventures, Kleiner Perkins, and QCP Capital.[3]

In April 2020, Skew raised another $5 million in a round led by Octopus Ventures, with participation from the Digital Currency Group, Firstminute Capital, and Seedcamp. The company's CEO Emmanuel Goh said Skew's goal is to become "like a Bloomberg for crypto - data meets trading." After the funding round, Skew also launched skewTrading, a platform designed to help institutional investors connect to market makers across listed and OTC digital asset products, including digital asset derivatives and spot products.[4]

Products and Services

Skew primarily offers two services through its trading platform, skewTrading, and its data analytics platform, skewAnalytics.

skewTrading is a platform designed by Skew. It allows institutional traders to trade digital asset investment products tied to bitcoin and Ether. The platform does not hold client funds, relying instead on a clearing system. skewTrading is regulated by the U.K. Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).[5][6]

skewAnalytics is a digital asset market data platform. It displays data like open interest, futures and options volume by exchange, and liquidation.[7]<[8]
